The Home ReMixtape Artchive Vol 1. Berlin started as a series of workshops paying homage to the concept of home and community. The workshops incorporated various mediums to collaboratively create a community mixtape as an archival approach to preserving untold stories centered around home.

The workshop series traveled through five locations as part of Oyoun's Tiny House Oyounity Tour, becoming a nomadic destination point for community members to create together and become acquainted with lesser-known parts of Berlin, DE.

During the workshops, participants were invited to investigate and share their stories of home through environmental recordings, interviews, songs, poems, and music, which were then combined into the mixtape.

The workshop series concluded with an exhibition at Oyoun Kultur NeuDenken on Thursday, November 16, 2023, where the mixtape was publicly displayed. The audience in attendance could listen to the mixtape on digital and analog cassettes.

In addition, an old phone booth was transformed into a studio vocal booth so those who attended the exhibition could contribute to the mixtape, appearing as the bonus tracks.
